In the light of the tragic horrendous racially motivated deaths / murders of Emmett Till, James Gause, Rooster, Michael Brown Jr., Trayvon Martin, Philando Castile, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Aubrey, George Floyd, and so many others, “Pink Elephant in the Room. 2018” expresses the evil darkness of hatred and white privilege and social injustice and systemic racism in America. Protest! Change policies to ensure “REFORM” and “EQUAL JUSTICE” for a “BETTER AMERICA”. VOTE.
America could have been an even “GREATER NATION”…..
This piece was inspired by the prevalent face of Social Injustice. Is a picture worth a thousand words? Saying what you see and seeing what you say is a credible testimony of what actually exists. We have the power to discourage acceptance and to foster change.
The Arts has a direct influence on the development of Culture and Society. Both Cultures and Society are identified and characterized by their own unique mores, special abilities, and distinct accomplishments.
Art in the form of drawing, painting, poetry, plays, music, sculpture, and architecture reflects the stages of diversity and the growth in a society. Its creations become the evidence of thoughts, ideas, mannerisms, attitudes, religious beliefs, and customs.

The Holy Bible and numerous books and research on biblically related literature has made the greatest impact on my life. Also, I have been very much enlightened and impressed by writings of the following authors:
Paul L Hamilton – African Peoples’ Contributions to World Civilization – Shattering the Myths Carter G. Woodson – The Mis-Education of The Negro Michelle Alexander – The New Jim Crow Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness Cathryn Jackson – The Pieces Of Me Desmond…..
